Your family's privacy comes first.
The short version
- BloomPath has no ads, and we never sell personal information.
- A parent or other adult creates the account. Children use the app inside that account.
- Videos you upload stay on your device unless you choose encrypted cloud backup. Timer photos stay on your device.
- We collect only what the app needs to work and to show you your child's progress.
- You can see, change or delete your child's information at any time.
Who we are
This policy is from BloomPath ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect through the BloomPath mobile app and this website, why, and the choices you have.
BloomPath is designed for children, including children under 13, and is set up and managed by parents, guardians and therapists. We follow the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
What we collect
From the parent or adult account holder
- Account details: your email address and sign-in information, used to create your account and to back up and sync your child profiles.
- Subscription status: whether you have an active plan and when it renews. Payments are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never receive your card number.
- Messages you send us: if you use "Send feedback" or email us, we receive your message and email address.
- Settings: your app choices, such as low-stimulation mode, the weekly email summary and home screen layout. Your parent PIN is used to protect grown-up areas of the app.
About each child profile
- Profile name: a first name or nickname you choose. You don't need to use your child's real name.
- Activity and progress: stars, badges, bloom trail and garden progress, game and vision-activity results and accuracy, videos watched, and how often tools like the wait timer and Quiet Space are used.
- Feelings check-ins: the feeling your child taps in How I Feel, with the time.
- Tell Someone requests: the needs your child taps, such as "hungry" or "break", with the time.
This information appears in the Parent & Therapist view and the weekly email summary so you can understand how your child is doing.
Photos and videos you add
- Picture timer photos: a photo you take or choose for the picture timer is resized and has its location (GPS) data removed, then saved on your device.
- Your own videos: videos you upload to a child's library (up to 2 minutes) have location tags removed and are kept separate for each child profile. For each video, you choose where it is stored:
- On this device only (the default): nothing is uploaded to our servers.
- Secure cloud backup, only if you choose it: the video is encrypted and stored with our cloud provider so you can restore it on a new device.
- Sharing the garden: when you tap "Share your tree", BloomPath creates a picture of your child's garden on your device and opens your phone's share options. You choose who receives it. We don't see or keep your messages.
What we don't collect
- We don't collect a child's precise location or contacts. We only receive photos or videos if you choose cloud backup for a video.
- We don't use advertising networks or ad tracking, and we don't build advertising profiles.
On this website
bloompathapp.com doesn't use cookies for tracking or advertising. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security. If you turn on "Calm view", that choice is saved only in your own browser.
How we use information
- To run the app: save profiles, track progress, unlock badges and sync across your devices.
- To show parents and therapists progress in the Parent & Therapist view.
- To send the weekly email summary, if you turn it on, and to send account and service emails.
- To manage your subscription and free trial.
- To answer your questions and feedback, fix problems and keep the app secure.
- To improve BloomPath using information that has been combined or de-identified so it doesn't identify you or your child.
We do not use children's information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it.
Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run BloomPath. They may use it only to provide their service to us, and must keep it secure.
| Provider | What they do | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| Google Play / Apple App Store | App downloads and payments | Purchase and subscription details |
| RevenueCat | Subscription management | An anonymous app user ID and subscription status |
| Resend | Sending emails, such as the weekly summary | Parent email address and the email content |
| [Cloud database provider] | Backup and sync of profiles and progress, and encrypted video backup if you turn it on | Account and child profile data described above, and backed-up videos |
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect the safety of a child or others, or as part of a merger or sale of the business. In a sale, this policy would continue to apply to information we already hold.
Children's privacy
- Parents are in charge. Only an adult can create an account and add child profiles. By adding a child, you confirm that you are the child's parent or guardian, or that you have the parent's permission (for example, as their therapist or teacher).
- Grown-up areas are locked. Settings, uploads, subscriptions and the dashboard are protected by a 4-digit parent PIN or a 3-second hold, and the parent session locks automatically.
- No ads or outside links for kids. Children can't make purchases, see ads, chat with others or share information publicly in the app.
- Your rights as a parent. You can review your child's information in the Parent & Therapist view, ask us for a copy, ask us to correct it, ask us to stop collecting it, or delete it at any time. See Delete your account.
How long we keep information
- We keep account and child profile information while your account is active, so progress is there when you come back.
- If you delete a child profile or your account, we delete the related information from our active systems within 30 days. Copies in secure backups are removed within 90 days.
- If an account is inactive for 24 months, we may delete it after emailing you first.
- Purchase records kept by Google or Apple are governed by their own policies.
How we protect information
We keep a written information security program. Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to people who need it to run BloomPath, and we review our service providers' security. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us right away if you think your account has been accessed without permission.
Your choices
- Turn emails on or off: switch the weekly email summary in the Parents tab.
- Edit or remove a child profile: in the Parents tab.
- Get a copy or correct information: email us from your account email.
- Delete everything: follow the steps on Delete your account.
- State privacy rights: depending on where you live, you may have extra rights to access, correct or delete your information. We honor these requests for all users.
Changes to this policy
If we make a significant change, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app or by email. If a change affects how we use children's information, we'll ask for a parent's consent first.
